The number of potential surgical models in miniature swine is substantial and the applications of these models in biomedical research are broad. Surgical models we are able to provide include but are not limited to: exteriorized ileal or jejunal cannulas for sampling/dosing, bile duct cannulation or liver shunts, gastrointestinal blood flow studies, creation of cardiac myocardial infarction models by surgical ligation of a coronary artery prior to studies, and surgical skin wounds or cutaneous burns.
