Leadership Team

Dr. Guy Bouchard, DVM, MS, DACT, is the founder and CEO of Sinclair BioResources. Dr. Bouchard is a veterinarian board certified by the American College of Veterinary Theriogenologists with more than 35 years of experience in laboratory animal medicine, with emphasis in miniature swine. He is an expert in conducting preclinical evaluations for drug development of small and large molecule therapeutics. Dr. Bouchard earned a DVM in Veterinary Medicine and an internship from the University of Montreal. He completed his residency in Theriogenology, a MSc in Animal Reproduction and a MSc Comparative and Laboratory Animal Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Derek Brocksmith, BS is the General Manager of Sinclair BioResources and has spent 13 years managing the largest production herds of minipigs for biomedical research in North America. Prior to joining Sinclair, Derek spent most of his career working in agriculture and agriculture-related fields with a focus on swine production. Derek earned bachelor’s degrees in animal science and criminal justice from National University in San Diego while serving in the United States Marine Corps.
